Weeds and Seeds

Germany

So, gone for a while and now back.  We are on a long vacation in Germany since my husband is deployed. Getting settled takes a while with kids and so now I finally have time again.

We love it here so much... and I'm so happy to be back. Well, I'm from Germany and my whole family is here so for me it's home.

Back...

We're back. Julian broke my PC... he pulled on the cord the PC fell and the Back light broke. So, now I have a new PC and hope we can stay up to date with the blogs.

Outdoor Challenge

^{So, we are participating in ' The Great Outdoor Challenge". I  saw  it the other day on 5 Orange Potatoes ...  Michael had a lot of fun climbing on trees and jumping down.  We have big beautiful trees here in Hawaii it was not really hard to find a good tree. Michael loves to be outside... running, jumping, exploring... everything little boys like to do. He got such a bright mind. He always wants to learn and find out new things.}

Julian was watching him and was really interested in what Michael was doing. He loves his brother so much!

From the Leaves we collected we're going to make something... Let's see what it is going to be...

Breakfast - Lunch

Michael  tried something new for breakfast today. We usually have a Musli Mix but I thought why not mix it up a bit...

Polenta!  I used to eat it at my Grandmas in Germany with Milk and Sugar. I just used Rice Milk -- no extras! He loved it! Yeah

For lunch I used all the Veggies I had left from the Farmers Market with  some Noodles. Tomorrow is Farmers Market in Haleiwa  and we're getting again some good local produce.

Sunshine

Woke up to a beautiful day. The sun is shining and I can hear the birds... Well, it's usually like that here in Hawaii... Sunshine or Rain ... that's it! Julian is getting so old. He is 7 month already and got so much personality . It so much fun to watch them play and grow.

 

^{So we are homeschooling for the past year and we had some good times. We started with the Oak Meadow Program but Michael wanted to learn more and it was not really challenging for him.
So I searched for a long time and found the Christian Light Education. It is really Bible based ... but what I really liked were the Workbooks and the Teacher Manuel. The Workbooks are little old fashioned but I think it gives it something special. It also got a lot of Pictures that Michael can color.}
